Fantastic news just received......  Alex has been cured of the blood/bone marrow disease that has kept him in hospital in Madrid for the last 10 and a half weeks.
He has spent the last 10 weeks in an isolation ward as his white cell blood count was so low that any infection could have had a fatal effect.
We are all thrilled with the news that his treatment has worked and look forward to welcoming Alex back soon.  He is expecting to leave hospital in the next few days and then spend some time having the holiday he was supposed to be having before he was struck down with this illness.
