Battle of The Bands First
heat Sunday 9th May, Final Sunday 20th June. 
The winning band will fly to Memphis Tennessee, the birthplace of Rock 'n' Roll where
they will record in Sun Studios and perform at a venue in Beale Street
on Monday 5th July during the City of Memphis celebrations commemorating 50
years of Rock and Roll.
As guests of the Memphis
Convention and Visitor Bureau (MCVB), the winning band members will spend a
minimum of three nights in the City. Flights, hotels, studio costs, back line, the
Beale Street gig, meals and land transfers in the USA will all be provided and
arranged by MCVB.

enter the competition bands must complete an entry form which together with
their "demo" must be posted or handed in to; Memphis

Bands with a current
recording contract are not eligible.
Bands with a publishing deal or management deal are eligible
At least one band member must be resident in the County of Merseyside, which
includes the Districts of Liverpool, Wirral, Sefton, Knowsley and St Helens or
if one band member has an 0151 prefix to their home phone number.
They must ensure they are available to travel on or between the 2nd to 7th July.
They must ensure they have a
current passport or that an application is in place during the heats stage.
Bands successful during the heats stage must be available for either of the two
semi finals on Sunday 13th June or Thursday 17th June and the final which is on
Sunday 20th June.
Bands will be judged on performing original material and must have biographies
and promotional photographs.
