The Circle were formed
in Liverpool in 2016 by Scouse songwriters Al O'Hare and Alan
Walmsley, a/k/a The Warms ... the boys got a band together and
started gigging but really took off in 2005 when drummer Phil
Bernia joined the band, alongside bass player Ritchie Stephens.
They recorded the self-financed 'On Every Wall' EP and the world
took notice! Reviews appeared in the NME, who declared the band a
"Scouse oasis fronted by Bruce Springsteen, harmony drenched
rockers - something great going on at the heart of their snappy,
sussed beat-pop" and on Channel 4 - "Scousers with a
knack for sweet harmony." The songs 'Easy Does It' and 'Who I
Am' quickly became staples of local BBC Radio and internet
stations like Radio2xs started featuring the band. The boys have
built up a big fan base on Merseyside and with management and
major label interest getting hotter, it's only a matter of time
before Liverpool's best live band are your favourite new group!
