Think
R.E.M. meets Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers with a dose of Ben
Folds and that’s probably the closest you’ll come to describing
the sound of One Room House.
Formed in 2015 beneath the rain clouds that hover in a
seemingly permanent fashion over Stoke-on-Trent, the band continue
to grow, honing their skills and delighting crowds wherever they go.
Their
recent EP, entitled “Myopic Avenue”, has been received extremely
well and has opened the door for them in venues across the Midlands
and Manchester.
Delivering a unique sound that combines fresh lyrics with
rock beats and infectious pop melodies, there is something different
about them and it is completely absorbing.
What
is the sound of One Room House? It is waking up and remembering
you
haven't
got to go to work. It's apple pie, or shades of sunlight bursting
through a charcoal rain cloud. It's winning at pool when you were
four balls behind; a cup of tea made in a teapot; finishing early on
a Friday afternoon; it's holding hands (but not with a scary
monster). A cool breeze on a summer's evening. That is the sound of
One Room House!
