Biography
The Troubadours have the complete package. They are a peoples band with world beating songs. An attitude born from the music. They're look comes from the fact that they are an extension of the people who come to see them. Mark Adds; 'We are just one of the lad's. no airs and graces. We relate to the people. Thats not to say we don't relate to the other stereotypes. We don't want to alienate people. We just are what we are. You either like us or you don't.'
Their music is written by Mark Frith and influenced by many great acts from the past from 50's Rockabily, 60's pop, soul and reggae to the more recent classic bands like Echo and the Bunnymen, the Stone Roses and the La's.
Mark; 'I've spent many years studying what truly makes and goes into a great song'. It Shows!
Mark spends hours perfecting his songs to the best possible out come.
'I'm a big fan of great writers like Pete Townsend. You have to immerse yourself in music. I know it's an old saying but Eat, sleep and drink music. Everytime you write you are catching whats going on in your head at that moment. Everytime you are not writing, you might have missed out on writing a classic. I take it that seriously.'
Even when the songs are written and demoed they are then endlessly rehearsed by the band and given the Troubadours sound.
Jonny Mol; 'We argue alot about whats the better idea. The songs are quality and to do them justice you have to try every idea and go down every avenue. We are not a lazy crap half-arsed band.'
This is very true. On the evidence Ladies and gentlemen, the troubadours are not playing at this Rock'n'Roll game. In the words of many a fan they are 'Boss'.

" I just had to play another track by this band cos those two tracks are so different, it just shows what a vast reportoire the band has. I think there absolutely brilliant." - Billy Butler, BBC Radio Merseyside- after playing Madcap and Con edison on his show.

"You can't just learn how to play the guitar and write them sort of songs in a day. It takes year on the circuit to perfect things like that. These guys are amazing." Bobby Sox- BBC Radio Merseyside.

" All Hail The Troubadours, Bringing their jingly-jangly brand of scouse merseybeat to our airways. With extremely crafted songs showing a great respect of acts old and new. If you can try to get to see them before it all kicks off!" -Londons Indie Radio Station Xfm
